Who are we?
--------------------------------------------------------
In 1996, Lighthouse Rescue Sports Outreach (LRSO) was founded as a faith-based nonprofit organization by a young man Geoffrey Bottson in Jos.
It began as volunteer group, reaching out to communities/schools, and committed to merge sportsmanship and athletic abilities to God's glory, while seeking to change our communities and the world through sports.

MINISTRIES
We realise that so many people love sports in our nation and around the world, the universal attraction of sports unites and encourages strong connection among people. Leveraging on that connection, our volunteers are able to teach sports freely, share their faith and reach out to people from other cultures in Nigeria, Africa, and around the world!
It is true that the love of sports crosses all cultural and geographical boundaries. People like to read sports... watch sports . . . participate in sports . . . talk about sports. This makes Sports Ministry a natural avenue for reaching out with the gospel locally and globally.
Spreading the Gospel Through Sports
LRSO have developed a strong network of Sports missionaries, Churches/Ministries as volunteers since the pioneering work in 1996. We work with Christian individuals and organizations to fulfill God’s call to take the Gospel to all the nations, and make Disciples through Sports and Play.
Reaching Africa: A Legacy of Volunteer Service
For 28 years, our volunteers have participated in a variety of sporting events, gatherings, and served in humanitarian aid. From facilitating in school sports programs, orphanages, Prisons, community, to providing recreation opportunities at medical Outreach and national level sports clinics. Our teams are reaching Africa.
